Mixed/Other Districts

What Will It Cover?

The ‘Mixed & Other’ subject area was purposefully reserved as the last working group subject area so that any remaining substantive land-use related subjects could be discussed before the Zoning Review focused on process and administration-related material, beginning this Autumn. To date, other land-use working groups either are examining or have examined all existing zone categories except Waterfront.  Therefore, the ‘Mixed & Other’ working group will deal solely with Waterfront-related land use issues. The primary focus of this series of discussions will be to establish context-specific zoning tools and processes which will aid in the implementation of waterfront-area plans and policies.

Working Group Meetings
All meetings were held from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, in Room 1117 of the District’s Citywide Conference Center, on the 11^th floor of 441 4^th St, NW (One Judiciary Square, red line Metro). Changes or updates to meeting dates, times and locations will be posted here and on the Calender as they become available.

Moving Forward

The recommendations were heard before the Zoning Review Task Force on September 23, 2009. The final recommendations will be heard by the Zoning Commission at a Public Hearing held on Thursday January 7, 2010. To participate in the hearing and provide public comments, the meeting will be held from 6:30-8:30pm in the 2nd floor hearing room of 441 4th Street NW, (One Judiciary Square, Red Line Metro).
